need-helpYou probably already know that we’re staffed Monday – Friday with helpful US-based client support that you can call, email, or chat with if you have any questions about your software.

What you might not have known is that we have a powerful behind the scenes database that stores the answer to every common question and process.  So even if you happen to catch us outside of business hours, there’s a good chance that somebody has asked your question before, and the answer is already published in the Knowledge Base.

OK – maybe you’ve already been using the Knowledge Base and that is old news to you?  The exciting new news is that we’ve just updated the system to make both the Knowledge Base and the feature request system so it is smoother and easier to access with some new technology.

To access it just login to your Rentec account and click “Need Help” in the upper-right hand corner.  A new, simpler, help tool will pop down and let you enter a question.  Once you click “Next”, the system will automatically search the thousands of articles in the Knowledge Base and if any match your question it will suggest them so you can find the solution.

If your question wasn’t answered, no problem, just click “Skip and send message” and it will send your question right to the the support inbox where we’ll get back to you promptly.

Wait, There’s More!

We get a lot of screenshots from client’s showing us stuff on their screen, so we wanted to make this process easier for you.  Now if you want to show us something specific, just open what you want to show us in Rentec so it’s showing on the screen.  Then click “Need Help”, enter your message to us, and then click the camera icon in the lower left.  Click “Snap screenshot” and we’ll take a picture of the page you have open and it will be attached to your message.  Easy right!?

Do you have an idea on how to improve the application?

We love your ideas and we read every single one.  We’ve just made the process of voting and submitting ideas much easier too.

On the bottom of your software is a “Submit Idea” link.  When you click this it will show you some existing ideas that you can vote. Cast your vote for one of the two that is the most important to you – or skip to the next two.

Yikes- some of my tenants sure have big balances! Know any good property managers?

This is a GREAT time killer if you want to take a break from Twitter at work (kidding of course!), but the data really helps us out.  If you have your own idea that you want to submit, just click “Post your own idea”, jot down the details and it will get added into our system for consideration and for other clients to vote on.
