With Rentec Direct it’s easy for both landlords and property managers to get setup for tenant screening. Following these simple steps can have you setup today.
- If you don’t already have a Rentec account, set one up. It only takes about 60 seconds and can be done by any of the Sign Up links on our property management software website.
- Login and go to the Reports tab, and click ‘Screening Reports’ up top.
- If you need to return the screening packet you will be prompted at this time. The packet includes a few short forms to fill out which can often all be completed within 30 minutes. The final form is a 3rd party site inspection which is required for obtaining credit reports. This must be completed and signed by a 3rd party (anyone other than yourself).
- Return the packet to us via email or our toll-free fax which is included on the form.
We process screening applications daily and once yours is received we will review it to ensure it is complete and accurate and email you as soon as your account is ready to go.
To order a tenant screen, return to Reports, Screening Reports and click ‘Start a New Report’. We have a guide on how to order credit and criminal reports.
That’s it, the process takes about 30 minutes in total.
