Rentec was quick to <a title=\"Multi-user support\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/multi-user-support\/\" target=\"_blank\">upgrade the account features to provide multi-user accounts<\/a> with designated permission levels in order to ensure data security for the primary account holder.<\/p>\n<p>The primary account holder can create multiple accounts in order to access the same data. \u00a0By creating individual unique logins and passwords for each person, there is no longer a need to share the same password.<\/p>\n<p>The primary account holder can also set permissions or limitations for each user to only access information relevant to their work\u00a0tasks. \u00a0To support the use of user roles there are different levels of access that can be\u00a0completely customized.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2714\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Manage-Multi-ACcounts-600x195.png\" alt=\"Manage Multi ACcounts\" width=\"600\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Manage-Multi-ACcounts-600x195.png 600w, https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Manage-Multi-ACcounts-300x98.png 300w, https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Manage-Multi-ACcounts.png 883w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We designed the system with the utmost flexibility to accommodate as many situations as possible, while still keeping the system simple to use. \u00a0With the system you can restrict access to properties (and associated tenants), bank accounts, and owners. \u00a0Want to allow your employee Joe only access to a single property? No problem!\u00a0Simply\u00a0select \u2018Access Selected Properties\u2019, select the one property, and your done. \u00a0\u00a0Perhaps instead you want Joe to access all properties, except one or two. \u00a0That\u2019s just as easy, choose \u2018Restrict Selected Properties\u2019, and select the properties you wish the user to be restricted from. \u00a0Either way, it only takes a couple clicks and easy to edit or update at any time.<\/p>\n<p>Levels of access:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read Only Access<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Read only users can view account information, including tenant and property details. But they cannot make any changes to data within the account. You can give them read only views to just certain properties or all properties. \u00a0Under a \u201cRead Only\u201d account, you can also allow access to \u201cAR\u201d , or Accounts Receivable, which does allow a read only user account to post tenant payments to a property.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limited Access<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Limited account users have access to as many features as the primary account holder wishes to allow. \u00a0Types of permissions include access to edit program, accounting and application settings, access to manage vendors, ad or manage bank accounts, properties and owners. \u00a0Each permission is selected by the primary account holder in an easy to use yes or no line item form. \u00a0Primary account holders can also edit a user account\u2019s permissions to grant or remove access to certain features in the program any time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Full Access<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The primary account holder can grant a user to access to all the features in Rentec Direct\u2019s software. \u00a0The only limitation to a user with full account access involves adding new user accounts or editing permissions of an existing user account. Only the primary account holder can add, edit and manage user accounts in Rentec Direct\u2019s program. \u00a0The primary account holder is also the only person that can cancel the Rentec Direct subscription and process tax documents in the software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_2727\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/permissions.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2727\" class=\"wp-image-2727 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/permissions-600x658.jpg\" alt=\"User Account Permissions\" width=\"600\" height=\"658\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/permissions-600x658.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/permissions-274x300.jpg 274w, https:\/\/www.rentecdirect.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/permissions.jpg 765w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2727\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Here is a look at the permissions available to user accounts.
