Over the years, Rentec Direct continues to prioritize community engagement and giving back as a core value, earning the company recognition both locally and nationally for its philanthropic efforts. Most notably, in 2024, Rentec Direct was honored as a Community Champion by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, gaining a spot as a Top 100 Small-Business in America, a distinction that celebrates the company\u2019s impressive growth and its positive impact on the local area.

This achievement is a well-deserved honor for the entire team at Rentec Direct, who both professionally and personally volunteer, sponsor, and support numerous efforts in southern Oregon, where the company is based.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Culture That Fosters Community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rentec Direct fosters community engagement and growth both as a company and individually as employees. Rentec Direct actively supports numerous community programs and organizations through sponsorships, donations, and collaborations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth and Student Investment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rentec Direct has directly sponsored programs that champion youth needs and foster youth excellence. This year, we have sponsored local children and students through holiday initiatives such as Toys for Tots and Salvation Army Angel Tree, through community organizations like The Rogue Valley Young Marines, the Boys and Girls Club, and through multiple sports organizations including North Valley Volleyball, North Valley Track and Field, Grants Pass Booster Club (High School Athletics), and Central Valley Futbol Club.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of these local sponsorships, Rentec Direct makes a difference for students nationwide by offering scholarships for students in the technology industry. The Rentec Direct Tech Mastery Scholarship<\/a> recipients for 2024<\/a>. This scholarship is offered annually, beginning in 2016, and has offered assistance to graduate and undergraduate students pursuing an education in technology by helping them achieve their academic dreams and future goals in the technology industry.

Nathan Miller, Rentec Direct’s president and founder, started Rentec Direct in 2007 on his own using his coding skills to meet a need. He certainly understands the power that tech skills can offer and readily supports students who seek to make everyday life better by growing their tech skills and offering solutions to everyday problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nathan says \u201cThe tech industry thrives on new ideas and fresh perspectives,\u201d says Nathan Miller, president of Rentec Direct. \u201cAt Rentec Direct, we feel that by supporting these future leaders in tech, we are investing in a bright future. Their potential to drive innovation is great, and we are excited to help them on their journey,\u201d explains Miller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This scholarship is offered annually, so if you know a student pursuing a degree in computer science or a related field, have them apply in 2025!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Initiatives:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rentec is committed to uplifting the Grants Pass community. The company also invests in education and economic development, sponsoring and collaborating with initiatives like SOREDI, the SOREDI Foundation, Rogue Community College, the Josephine Community Library, and the Grants Pass Chamber of Commerce to strengthen local businesses and enhance regional development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the goals of strengthening commerce and local businesses development and opportunities, Rentec Direct sponsors initiatives through the Grants Pass Chamber of Commerce that create family-friendly and engaging events. Rentec Direct is a platinum partner for the Concerts in the Park event for 2024, and the annual Wine Stroll, both are events hosted by the local chamber of commerce to support local businesses and the community at large. The annual summer event occurs weekly in the summer and is free for community members to enjoy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rentec Direct also shows up annually in support of veterans as a sponsor for the Grants Pass Devastational Golf Tournament by the Relentless Heroes<\/a> organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the holiday season, Rentec Direct supports many additional community initiatives including Toys for Tots and Angel Tree. Since 2018, Rentec Direct has hosted a Salvation Army Angel Tree, bringing joy to nearly 100 children in need. Rentec Direct was also a sponsor of the 22nd Annual Rogue Winterfest<\/a>, Josephine County\u2019s largest holiday festival held in support of the Rogue Valley\u2019s mental health organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
