We are proud to announce that Rentec Direct has been named to the Inc. 5000 list, again this year. This marks eight consecutive years on the list. Rentec Direct was the only company in Southern Oregon named on the list this year, and we remain the only rural Oregon-based company to make the list every year since 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Inc. 5000?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Inc. Magazine\u2019s Inc. 5000 list<\/a> is an annual list featuring the most prestigious ranking of the nation\u2019s fastest-growing private companies. Admittance to the list is competitive and a huge honor, and because the list is based on company growth, getting onto the list as a repeat honoree is an even bigger accomplishment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making the list consecutively for eight years is extremely rare and a testament to the stability and growth of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Inc., the Inc. 5000 class of 2024 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. In all, this year\u2019s Inc. 5000 companies have added 874,458 jobs to the economy over the past three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does a company get selected for the Inc. 5000?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To be eligible for the Inc. 5000<\/a>, a company must be privately held, for profit, and independent (not a subsidiary or a division of another company) and have specific growth and revenue markers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne of the greatest joys of my job is going through the Inc. 5000 list,\u201d says Mike Hofman, who recently joined Inc. <\/em>as editor-in-chief. \u201cTo see all of the intriguing and surprising ways that companies are transforming sectors, from health care and AI to apparel and pet food, is fascinating for me as a journalist and storyteller. Rentec Direct is proud to be privately owned with no outside investors; this allows us to make choices that best serve our clients rather than pad an investor\u2019s pocketbook. Our continued presence on the list shows that we’ve accomplished what many organizations have deemed impossible; eight years of growth while remaining  privately-owned and customer-focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our company was founded because, as landlord, I simply wanted to streamline my property management tasks. I found that as I grew my portfolio, small tasks of tracking rent, communicating with tenants, and other daily chores overtook the day. Rentec Direct was born out of a desire to make rental management easy and save property managers and landlords time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I still own and operate Rentec Direct with this goal in mind. I\u2019m actively involved in personally developing new features that will ensure time-savings for our clients. Our development team looks at new features through the lens of my own rental portfolio, as well as client requests, and we consider what features will pay back in time-savings for those managing rentals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I personally created the AI Listing Generator<\/a> for Rentec Direct, making us the first property management software to incorporate AI. This feature creates instant property descriptions for your rental listings, turning a 10-30 minute process into one that takes no time at all. This kind of industry experience and quick turnaround for innovative integrations can\u2019t happen when a board of investors begins steering the helm with a profit-first mentality. In my opinion, privately-owned software is the only kind of software with the ability to truly stay purely client-focused.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
