If these messages do not get delivered to their intended recipient, discovering why can help improve future communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-tenant-emails-and-messaging-features-in-rentec-direct\">Tenant Emails and Messaging Features in Rentec Direct<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can<a href=\"https:\/\/help.rentecdirect.com\/article\/701-automatic-email-notifications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> send automated reminders<\/a> to your tenants or create custom, one-time messages, all of which are stored in your Rentec Direct account for reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tenant automated email notifications include:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Overdue Emails <\/strong>will email your tenant once per week when their account is overdue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Recurring Charge Emails<\/strong> will email your tenant any time an automatic recurring charge is posted to their ledger, such as their rent charge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Charge Emails<\/strong> will email your tenant any time a new manual charge is posted to their ledger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Payment Emails<\/strong> will email your tenant upon any payment or credit posted to their account, such as an online rent payment or a rental concession.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Work Order Emails<\/strong> will email your tenant when work orders viewable by the tenant are completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tenant Email Failure Notices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If the email address for your tenant is incorrect the email will not deliver and the email server generates a failure to deliver notification. Additionally, if someone marks an email as spam, any future messages sent from that email address will not get delivered to the recipient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rentec Direct has added the function to display these failure to deliver email notices in your property management software. This function allows you to troubleshoot what happened if a tenant says they did not receive an emailed message. Click on the <em><strong>failed email notice<\/strong><\/em> and see details about why the message failed to deliver.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Failure Due to Spam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If the failure to deliver notice indicates that the recipient marked an email as spam, they will not be able to receive email messages from you for 90 days.
