PetScreening and Rentec Direct Integration<\/h2>\n

With Rentec Direct\u2019s new PetScreening integration, you can automatically direct your rental applicants to complete their pet screen when they are finished completing their online rental application.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Follow the directions below for a step-by-step guide on connecting your Rentec Direct account to Petscreening.com to screen your rental applicant\u2019s pets or visit the Rentec Direct Knowledge Base for instructions <\/span>Pet Screening for Rental Applications<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you enable the PetScreening feature in your Rentec Direct account, your rental applicants will automatically get directed to your petscreening.com page to complete the screening of their pet(s).<\/span><\/p>\n

Getting Started with PetScreening for Rentec Direct<\/h2>\n

In order to access the new PetScreening feature, you will need to <\/span>create a free account on petscreening.com<\/span><\/a>. Petscreening.com is free for landlords and property managers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sign up for a free PetScreening.com account<\/span><\/a> here.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When you sign up for a PetScreening account, you will be prompted to create a subdomain that will look something like this: <\/span>https:\/\/_____________.petscreening.com<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/i>We recommend creating a unique subdomain that is in line with your name, business name, or property name. (For example https:\/\/nmiller.petscreening.com)<\/span><\/p>\n

Activate PetScreening in your Rentec Direct Account<\/h2>\n

In order to link your PetScreening account with your Rentec Direct account, you will need to access your unique subdomain from petscreening.com<\/span><\/p>\n

To find your unique subdomain from petscreening.com, follow the directions below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Find or Create a Unique Subdomain from PetScreening.com<\/h2>\n

  1. Log in to your petscreening.com account.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click on the <\/span>Settings<\/strong> option<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Go to the <\/span>Landing Page<\/strong> tab.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Find the section called \u201c<\/span>Unique Subdomain<\/i><\/strong>\u201d, and make note of the information found here. In this example, our unique subdomain is “yourcompany”.\u00a0 Your subdomain will be different.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Connect your Rentec Direct account<\/h2>\n

    In to your Rentec Direct account:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Click on the <\/span>Settings<\/strong> tab.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Click on the <\/span>Utilities <\/strong>option.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Click on <\/span>Pet Screening<\/strong>.<\/b><\/li>\n
    4. Enter your unique subdomain from your petscreening.com account.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Click <\/span>Save<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Input your unique subdomain from your petscreening.com account to start screening your rental applicant’s pets as part of your tenant screening process.<\/p><\/div>\n

      Activate PetScreening on Your Rental Applications<\/h2>\n

      \u00a0In your Rentec Direct account:<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Click on the <\/span>Settings<\/strong> tab.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Click on the <\/span>Rental Application Defaults<\/strong> section.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Under <\/span>Optional Questions<\/strong>, set the option “<\/span>Ask primary applicant to list pets?<\/span><\/i>” to “<\/span>Yes<\/strong>“.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        With this option enabled, if your applicant indicates that they have pets when filling out your rental application, they will automatically be forwarded to your custom petscreening.com application and petscreening.com will notify you of the results of their screen as soon as they complete it.<\/span><\/p>\n
