To use a custom domain, you’ll need to purchase one from a registrar such as GoDaddy, Bluehost, Squarespace, or HostGator. Once that domain is purchased, you can follow the steps to host your domain through Rentec Direct.

This is a great way to get started, but as you grow it’s a great idea to consider purchasing a domain and hosting it on your domain which will make your brand look more professional, and help with search results. In short, clients will find you easier if you have your own domain.
How does this differ from domain options we already offer?
In addition to the free website we offer you at propertymanage.biz, there are two domain forwarding services offered by Rentec Direct, and they are still available.
- Forwarding from your registrar. You can still purchase your own domain and have it forwarded to your custom website at Rentec Direct. Many registrars do this at little to no cost. With this, your clients can type in www.yourdomain.com, and they will be automatically redirected to https://propertymanage.biz/yourbrand. The web address of propertymanage.biz/yourbrand will show in their web browser and at search engines so you get the full impact of a custom website, but do not get the benefits of a custom domain. - Forwarding using Rentec Direct. In the past, we’ve also offered a forwarding service. If your domain was pointed at our server, we would redirect it to https://propertymanage.biz/yourbrand. This method has become less effective recently because it does not use SSL and most web browsers are showing warnings for users who are forwarded through a non-SSL hosted domain. Because the effectiveness of this forwarding option is no longer practical with modern browsers, we do not offer this solution any longer.
