While traditional text messaging (SMS) is limited to 160 characters, we have updated the system to accommodate larger text messages which can be up to a maximum of 1600 characters. We do this by splitting the message into chunks and sending them to the cellular carrier one at a time. You now have permission to be more wordy in your outgoing SMS messages. : )
To use SMS messaging, just right-click on a tenant or owner and choose Email / SMS. Your SMS messages are instantly delivered to their mobile device.
Great to have the additional space. In the past we had to type our messages in Word to make sure we were under the 160 limit and then paste in the the Rentec SMS before sending.
